Emily Wise
MBA, PhD student
Research Fellow and doctoral student on the topic of The Internationalization of Innovation Policy in the Baltic Sea Region; member of the LEAP4D group
Main lines of research
My general field of research is international cooperation and learning within the area of innovation policy – with a geographical focus of the Baltic Sea Region. My specific research and project interests are focused on: strategic analysis and policy development; international governance frameworks; monitoring and evaluation frameworks; cluster policy; and service/user-driven innovation.
Present research projects
I have worked on projects related to both developing and developed countries – and am interested in how linkages between countries (at similar or different stages of development) can be beneficial to strengthening economic competitiveness. My current work is focused on the development of institutional and operational frameworks to enable strategic cooperation between clusters and innovation environments in the Baltic Sea Region (coupled to the EU-financed BSR InnoNet project and the upcoming EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region). I am also involved in facilitating the work of the European Cluster Policy Group.
