Josef Mörnerud
Josef has since the fall 2007 been on the PhD programe at the Research Policy Institute, and intends to be done by the summer 2011.
During his academic training in the fields of intercultural psychology and history of science and ideas he has been more and more interested in science as an object of research - science as a social phenomenon, science as power and authority, science as a search for truth, and science an idea confronted with practices, ways and methods available to us through the ways we experience consciousness.
Josef has been attracted by the phenomenological approaches and hopes that the strengths it offers will contribute to the field of research policy. This aim has been put into practice by a study of university through an analysis of the attitudes and experiences of students and teachers in Chinese and Swedish Universities. He hopes to explore through the MCA method (Meaning Constitution Analysis) how the meaning of University is constituted to the different involved actors. There will be presentations during the progress of work at the RPI.
